Case Study: Hit Refresh
Launching a campaign to rewrite the country’s founding legal document during a constitutional crisis.
The Challenge
The U.S. Constitution is objectively out of date — it was written in a time when most people lived and died within the same 25 mile radius that they were born in. It was a time before the Internet, before electricity, and before modern medicine. More importantly, it’s clear that the Constitution is not up to the challenge of this historical moment.
Our challenge was to build a non-partisan campaign that could educate, inform, and energize a broad swathe of Americans to demand a Citizens’ Assembly to Hit Refresh on the U.S. Constitution.

“Steve's contribution to the campaign was immeasurable. In addition to developing the campaign's name (which is now the title of Paul's recently publishes book!) and the primary call to action for our paid ads campaign, his thoughtful email strategy set us up for success by giving us meaningful data on our supporters straight off the bat.”
